About the Fest

CFS IgniteX 2026 is the annual technical fest of the Centre for Future Skills (CFS), FISAT, bringing together students from all streams for a day of innovation and problem-solving. The fest showcases skills gained through certification courses and provides a platform to apply learning to real-world challenges. With the theme “Innovate for Sustainability,” aligned to the UN SDGs, the event promotes technology-driven solutions with social and environmental impact—empowering students to innovate responsibly and contribute meaningfully to society.

Tracks & Competitions

1. IoT Track

Smart Resource Monitoring System for Sustainable Campuses

Problem: Real-time monitoring of a critical campus resource—water or electricity—to track usage, detect anomalies, and generate alerts.

Expected Output: Working IoT prototype or simulation with live dashboard.

2. Web & Cloud Track

Sustainable Web App

Problem: Build a responsive web app addressing a sustainability issue, deployed on AWS/Azure.

Expected Output: Cloud-hosted app with at least 3 pages and clear user interface.

3. Digital Marketing Track

Green Impact Campaign

Problem: Mini campaign promoting one sustainable habit (reduce plastic, save energy, recycle, eco-travel, etc.).

Expected Output: 2–3 social media posts with hashtag strategy and 2-min pitch.

4. Innovation & Design Challenge

Energy-Efficient Mechanical Prototype

Problem: Energy-efficient mechanical prototype (solar vehicles, automated waste segregation, energy-saving devices, renewable energy based, sustainable automation concepts).

Expected Output: Prototype or 3D simulation with demo.

5. Infrastructure Design Challenge

Smart Sustainable Urban Design Model

Problem: Sustainable infrastructure design (rainwater harvesting, green roofing, energy-efficient building, water purification).

Expected Output: CAD/SketchUp model or concept plan with demo.

Who Can Participate?

Open to all streams – B.Tech (CSE, CSD, ECE, EE, EI, ME, CE), IMCA, MBA, MCA.
2–4 students per team; interdisciplinary teams encouraged.
Minimum – 3 & Maximum – 10 teams.
Students may participate in only one track.
All solutions must align with the theme: Innovate for Sustainability.
Submissions must be original; plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Teams must explain how their solution applies skills learned.
